The PURPOSE of the Western Europe/United Kingdom Network Team is to PROVIDE CARE AND SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE CONNECTION, and FACILITATE COMMUNICATION amongst lay and clergy leaders and congregations within Western Europe and United Kingdom.
The primary ministry of the Western Europe/United Kingdom Network Team is to work in close cooperation with the Elder and Staff to accomplish the goals set forth below.
PROVIDE CARE AND SUPPORT
To be in close relationship with local churches so that their needs, celebrations, victories, and challenges are known and responded to in an effective way.
To be sensitive and responsive to the needs of pastors, clergy, and lay leaders for support, prayer, encouragement and assistance.
To demonstrate our care by remembering birthdays, anniversaries and all celebrations in the life of a church through cards, phone calls and even physical presence, whenever possible.
To facilitate the delivery of church development resources to churches, as needed.
ENCOURAGE CONNECTION to MCC and Each Other
To keep the bonds between the local church and the MCC movement alive and vibrant by facilitating dialogue and input on important issues.
To connect local churches with one another so that congregations can get to know one another better, resource each other and care for each other.
To facilitate at least 1 Network gathering each year for the people of Western Europe and United Kingdom for fellowship, education, and Holy Conversations.
To facilitate opportunities for churches to support each other in special occasions (new pastors, staff, new facilities, anniversaries, etc.).
FACILITATE COMMUNICATION with Pastors, Congregations, and Lay Delegates
To use all possible communication tools to ensure that relevant information is communicated throughout the Network in a timely way.
To facilitate ways for churches and lay leaders to communicate with the Elder and the denomination about important issues.
To communicate with lay delegates in a timely way so that their effectiveness and value is greatly increased.
To use all available communication tools to enable the Elder to communicate with congregations.
Accountability:
The members of the Western Europe/United Kingdom Team are accountable to the Appointing Elder.
